Not all Senior Sessions take place outdoors in the Austin area. While the beautiful Hill Country does provide a variety of backdrops – from rolling hills and open fields to the ever-changing Austin skyline – sometimes creating art on a blank canvas is exactly what we need.

There’s no doubt in any client’s mind that I am a lover of natural light and a golden hour session is my specialty.

Lumen Room is an inspiring canvas for natural light loving photographers as it’s… a natural light studio! It’s what dreams are made of, seriously. Besides fresh white walls, windows that make you swoon, and a variety of seating options, they also have a super cool and crisp black wall to give an optional “look” for your session. If you’d love to chat about booking a session of your own – be it senior, family, or headshots/branding – let’s make it happen!

In addition, having a controlled environment allows for wardrobe selection that gives you all the freedom to wear what you want, despite the season. From sundresses and bare feet in the winter to cozy sweaters and all the layers in the summer; temperature control is where it’s undoubtably at!

One of the benefits to your studio session is our ability to gain control over something we can’t – the weather in Austin! While we have a great bit of flexibility in times to book, my ideal session time is between 11am to 2pm. This benefits you greatly as there is not crazy early morning to meet the sunrise and your evening is free to do all the things.
